🦖 Dinosaur exploration
This month, the children became little paleontologists and began an exciting dinosaur exploration! They discovered dinosaur bones trapped in ice and carefully tapped and melted the ice to “rescue” the fossils, experiencing a fun version of a real archaeological dig.
⛺️ Camping & Discovery
As night fell, the little explorers worked together to build a pretend camping fire. Suddenly, mysterious dinosaur sounds were heard! The children grabbed their monoculars, searched carefully, and excitedly “spotted” dinosaurs in the distance.
🦴 Fossils, Textures & Dinosaur Art
The children created dinosaur fossils using dough, built skeleton shapes with white clay, and explored dinosaur skin textures through bubble wrap printing. These activities strengthened fine motor skills while helping them learn about dinosaur body structures.
📏 Math & Science Exploration
Through hands-on play, children measured dinosaur heights with cubes, compared dinosaur weights using a balance scale, and even used their own shoes to measure giant dinosaur footprints. They also sorted dinosaurs into land, sea, and air categories while learning concepts like big/small, heavy/light, and more/less.
✨ Through imaginative play and multi-sensory activities, children developed observation skills, creativity, logical thinking, and a love for exploration.
