🍁 Four Seasons Sensory Exploration

🍂We created an engaging sensory corner where children can explore with curiosity and creativity. Using open-ended materials like books, beans, colorful leaves, mini pumpkins, and other autumn-themed decorations, children freely combine and imagine their own seasonal scenes.

🔍Through this sensory play, children practice fine motor skills, observation, sorting, and storytelling. Hands-on experiences connect naturally with what we discussed during circle time about the seasons—deepening their understanding of seasonal changes, especially the beauty of Fall.

We believe: learning through wonder: nurturing curiosity, encouraging independence, and connecting knowledge with joyful, sensory-rich experiences.

🎃Little Pumpkin Wonder Day/Open House

On Open house day 10/26/25(Sunday), we decorated our cups with cute witch stickers to spark curiosity and imagination. 👀

Children started by adding the three primary colors—red, yellow, and blue—into separate cups. Then, by mixing them in pairs, they discovered new secondary colors with excitement! ✨

We also used transparent color pads to help children visually observe how colors blend and change.
Throughout the activity, I guided them in Mandarin, reinforcing vocabulary such as “红 (red), 黄 (yellow), 蓝 (blue),” and helping them naturally build both scientific understanding and language skills through play.

Our magical Halloween class continued with another exciting experiment —the “Witch’s Potion” chemical reaction!

Children added baking soda into small pots, then poured in vinegar.
In one or two pots, we even added food coloring, taking our color mixing exploration to the next level!
As the bubbling foam rose—children witnessed carbon dioxide (CO₂) forming right before their eyes! 💨

They observed with their eyes, listened with their ears, and experimented with their hands,
experiencing the wonder of chemistry while learning new Mandarin words like:
“泡泡 (bubble), 气体 (gas), 反应 (reaction), 混合 (mix), 酸 (acid), 碱 (base), 二氧化碳 (carbon dioxide).”

🌟 These activities integrate our STEAM learning philosophy—to spark curiosity through science exploration and inspire a lifelong love for learning. 💛In our STEAM-inspired approach, children are encouraged to ask questions, form hypotheses, and observe results,
developing language, reasoning, and curiosity through joyful hands-on exploration.

It’s not just bubbles that grow in this experiment—it’s the growth of language, logic, and scientific thinking too. ✨
