🌈 Light,
   Color &
Discovery

👋 We explored the concepts of left and right through fun movement games, helping children build body awareness and early spatial skills.

📖 We revisited The Rainbow Flower and learned about kindness, sharing, and helping others. Through our Disappearing Coin experiment, mirror reflections, and prism exploration, children discovered how light reflects, refracts, and creates beautiful rainbow colors.

Children also used viewfinders to discover how images can appear upside down and learned the Chinese characters 正 (upright) and 反 (opposite/inverted).

🔬 Our young scientists experimented with a 3D projector and Moser Lamp, observing how light changes when it passes through different materials. We also explored why a chopstick looks bent in water, learned about mirages and the aurora, created our own aurora artwork, and traced animal shadows to better understand light and shadow.

🎵 During music time, we sang "Chong Er Fei (Fireflies)" while playing the ukulele, celebrating the beauty of music and nature.

✨ Through hands-on exploration, art, science, and play, children discovered the magic of light, color, and the amazing world around them.

🎨This month, our light and shadow adventure began with the imaginative world of Hervé Tullet's The Dot and Lines, inspiring children to explore creativity through play and discovery.

Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky, children created colorful abstract artwork while exploring the relationships between lines, shapes, and colors.

We also celebrated the Dragon Boat Festival, introducing children to this traditional Chinese holiday through hands-on experiences. They created zongzi (rice dumpling) printmaking art and enjoyed tasting sweet chestnut and red date zongzi, discovering the richness of Chinese culture through both creativity and food.
